The soul of Thai cooking is in all of Bupar's creations, which come from the heart of traditional Thai cooking. Her recipes, gathered from extensive research and inflexible standards, are extremely accurate renditions of recipes from the various gastronomic regions of Thailand. Mekala's and The Siam Society is more than just a humble place to eat Thai food. It is a reflection of the history of their lives and their passion for learning to appreciate good food. Between Bupar and Adrienne, their paths for cooking have taken them from Bangkok and Chiang Mai, Thailand to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; Cannes and Grenoble, France; Rio de Janeiro and Parti, Brazil; San Francisco, California and finally to Portland, Oregon.
